Role of Lipid Signalling in Extracellular Vesicles-mediated Cell-to-cell Communication

Prof Marco Falasca is a full-time researcher with over 30 year-experience and a track record in signal transduction in cancer cells. He has worked in international renowned institutions such as New York University, University College London and Queen Mary University of London. His achievements include highly cited publications in top journals such as Science, Nature Communications, EMBO J, PNAS, supported by competitive grants and industry sources. He has made seminal and significant contributions in the field of lipid signalling. Prof Falasca’s research group is currently focusing primarily on the identification of novel therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer. The interest of the group concentrates on the study of the biology and function of exosomes in cancer and the potential use of exosomes as biomarkers for the early detection of pancreatic cancer and for specific targeted therapy.
