Laparoscopic hysteropexy is the surgery of choice for young patients wishing to retain fertility despite a pelvic organ prolapse. However, there are limited data available for pregnancy outcome and recurrence of prolapse following laparoscopic hysteropexy as few patients decide to undergo a pregnancy after this surgery. Standard practice is to avoid a pregnancy after hysteropexy. And it is recommended that women fulfil their family project before undergoing laparoscopic hysteropexy. In the current trend, women have later family project and the eventuality of pregnancy after hysteropexy may become increasingly common.
We describe the case of a 39-year-old patient that presented with a natural conception less than 2 months after a laparoscopic hysteropexy using 2 meshes placed anteriorly and posteriorly on the cervix.
